Hey guys and gals, I have my laptop for 5-6 weeks. It is a Latitude D830 and I've never had the battery replaced. The last 3 weeks or so to charge the battery only when the computer is off or in a state of low power. If you plugged in and it will lose its charge if its already at 100%. On a full charge, without plugged in it only holds its charge for about 1 hour to "sleep mode". This makes it extremely difficult to use it as a portable device, so I try a way to fix the problem I find without buying a new battery or laptop. Unfortunately I need it for the next few months in some of my classes so its kind of urgent
